چکیده
Over the last few years, propolis has been object of many studies conducted around world, and its biological properties chemical composition have widely investigated. The present study focuses on evaluation antimicrobial activity as well an examination two samples from Eastern Algeria coming commune El Mechrouha Ouled Driss in wilaya Souk-Ahras. are tested for their power by undertaking agar diffusion technique eight pathogenic microbial strains (six bacterial fungal strains) which are: Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumonia, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus agalactiae, thoraltensis, , Candida famata Aspergillus niger. results obtained clearly show impact susceptibility Gram-positive bacteria (S. agalactiae S. aureus), species (C. A. niger). analysis ethanolic extracts UV-visible absorption spectrometry thin layer chromatography showed that Algerian is wealthy phenolic compounds, high performance liquid allowed identification four polyphenols (Gallic acid, Caffeic Quercetin Catechin). These outcomes permitted a first assessment comparable components compositions.

The chemical composition of propolis from Bulgaria, Turkey, Greece and Algeria was investigated by GC-MS. All of them contained mainly flavonoids and esters of caffeic and ferulic acids, which indicated that their main source are buds of poplars of the taxonomic section Aegieros. Some Turkish samples contained a low percent of diterpenic acids, while in Algerian samples significant amounts of a...

Three propolis samples from Austria, Germany and France were investigated by GC/MS, where eleven compounds were being new for propolis. The samples showed some similarities in their qualitative composition. Phenylethyl-trans-caffeate, benzyl ferulate and galangin were predominant in German propolis. Benzyl caffeate was predominant in French sample. Pinocembrin was predominant in French and Aust...

Background: With considering the importance of natural products for their remedial and therapeutic value, this research was aimed to analyze the chemical compositions and antimicrobial activity of four propolis samples from different areas of Iran (Chenaran, Taleghan, Morad Beyg, and Kalaleh) with various climates and flora. Methods: Ethanolic (70% EtOH) and dichlromethane (DCM) extracts of Ira...

The antimicrobial activity of four propolis samples collected from Upper Egypt against Staphylococcus aureus; Escherichia coli and Candida albicans was evaluated. There was a variation in the antimicrobial activity according to the propolis origin. Banisweif propolis showed the highest antimicrobial activity against Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli and Candida albicans, but Fayoum propol...
